The Potter’s House of Dallas is actively seeking a highly skilled Media Systems Engineer to ensure
the reliability and efficiency of our broadcast and streaming facility. As an integral member of
our team, the Media Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing equipment
for live productions, post-production processes, and streaming services. This individual will
apply their expertise in video, audio, and broadcast technology to support critical infrastructure
upgrades, while ensuring all systems function at the highest level of performance for both
traditional broadcasting and modern streaming platforms.

for live productions, post-production processes, and streaming services. This individual will
apply their expertise in video, audio, and broadcast technology to support critical infrastructure
upgrades, while ensuring all systems function at the highest level of performance for both
traditional broadcasting and modern streaming platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all broadcast technology systems.
- Provide prompt response and resolution for issues affecting broadcast and streaming operations.
- Develop project plans and recommend capital budget requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on field, studio and control room equipment while
- assisting with technical setups.
- Install and update equipment and systems software.
- Repair and troubleshoot equipment to the module level using industry-standard test equipment.
- Ability to read and understand system signal flow diagrams and schematics for television control room and campus facilities.
- Ability to create and repair custom video, fiber and ethernet cable assemblies.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation and best practices for broadcast workflows, ensuring operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Embrace new approaches and continuous improvement, challenging established norms to drive innovation and operational excellence in broadcast technology.
- 5+ years of broadcast experience.
- Familiar with PC and Apple systems.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high-change environment while meeting all project deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be timely and organized.
- Ability to work well independently and with a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended period and able to lift 50 lbs.
- Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Proficiency with broadcast production systems and software, including, intercom systems, video switchers, wireless audio and cameras, media server, and test and measurement equipment.
